Please join OBCO for our next fine performance:
OBCO’s Fourth Saturday Small Ensemble Series continues on January 28th at 3:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (15695 Blackburn Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22191).
Directions | Tickets
This month, we’re all about the string quartet. J. David Brown, Sheyna Burt (That’s me!), Andrea Leilani Sayoc, and Ryan Bridgland will perform for your listening enjoyment Haydn’s String Quartet No. 41 and Borodin’s Ultra-Famous-Yes-You’ve-Heard-It-before-and-Trust-Us-It’s-Pretty-Romantic-Stuff-for-an-Afternoon-Concert String Quartet No. 2. Franz Joseph Haydn – aka, the Father of the String Quartet – wrote half a trillion quartets before dying of exhaustion and hand cramps. Alexander Porfir'yevich Borodin doesn’t mind that you can’t pronounce his middle name, he just wants you to come to the concert. General Admission Tickets for all OBCO Fourth Saturday concerts are just $5; concertgoers 18 and under attend for free. And for those of you who like your classical music orchestra style, don’t miss February’s Fourth Saturday performance which will feature Faure’s Elegy (Liz Brewster, cellist), Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, and guest conductor Joseph Ordaz. |
